Terms of sale

How buying a licence works, who you buy from, and what you can do if you change your mind.

[DRAFT: adapted from InterDirector's terms of sale. Bracketed parts wait on open decisions; the whole is to be checked before launch.]

These terms are between you and Interwebbi Solutions (Liinakonkatu 12 B 9, 33580 Tampere, Finland; Business ID 3133828-2), called "we", for what concerns the licence, and they sit beside the terms of the company that sells it to you (section 1). They do not take away a right you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

1. Who you buy from

You buy through Polar, which runs the checkout as the merchant of record and authorised reseller: it takes your payment, collects and pays the tax due, and sends the receipt or invoice. Its details are Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, United States. When you buy, you agree to Polar's terms for the checkout and the payment, at polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, and you receive a licence from us on the terms of the licence agreement.

Interwebbi Solutions makes and supports the plug-ins, and grants the licence. Polar sells it. This does not reduce anything you are entitled to.

2. What you buy

A licence for one plug-in, or for all three, as the licence agreement sets out. The checkout shows what each costs before you pay. The price includes the tax that applies to your billing address.

You can try every plug-in for 14 days before you buy, without a key and without giving any payment details.

[PRICES: open.]

3. What happens after you pay

Your licence key is sent to the email address you gave at the checkout, normally within moments. Enter it in the plug-in to activate it. If it has not arrived, look in your spam folder, then write to us.

4. Renewal and cancelling

A licence is a single purchase and does not renew: nothing is charged after it, and updates are free.

5. If you change your mind, or something is wrong

  • Consumers in the EU and EEA can cancel a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason, and get the payment back. The law lets a seller remove that right for digital content that begins at once, but only if the buyer asks for that and confirms it ends the right. Polar's checkout does not ask, so you keep the right, whether or not you have used the plug-in. It runs for 14 days from the day of the purchase.
  • If a plug-in does not work as promised, you have the rights the law gives you for digital content: to have it put right, and, if that fails, to a price reduction or to end the contract.
  • Buyers who are not consumers, and consumers outside the EU and EEA, have the rights their country's law gives them, and otherwise the terms above.

To use one of these rights, write to [email protected], or to Polar at [email protected]. Polar makes the refund, since it took the payment.

6. Payments, invoices and tax

Payments, receipts, invoices and tax are Polar's: write to [email protected]. Problems with a plug-in or your licence key are ours: [email protected].

7. Your personal data

What we and Polar do with the data you give when you buy is in our privacy notice and in Polar's privacy policy.

8. Law and disputes

Finnish law applies to your licence, and section 15 of the licence agreement says where a dispute is heard. Polar's terms say which law applies to the payment; the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live applies whatever they say.
